Chemical engineer by the University of Barcelona with MSc studies in water technologies and green chemistry at the University Institute of Science and Technology IUCT. Luis has 20 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, having developed professional roles from R&D, field engineer, project manager, and head of engineering. Luis has also an experience of more than 9 years in nanotechnology, specifically in R&D and industrialization of graphene and its applications. Some of them were developed specifically for applications in water treatment processes such as adsorption and electro-oxidation. Presently, Luis leads the innovation initiative in desalination projects at Hach.
