Mr. Lior Eshed
Abstract Title: PULSE FLOW RO – NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR DESALINATION OF MUNICIPAL WWTP EFFLUENT AND BRACKISH WATER APPLICATIONS
Session Title: Advanced Technologies for Joint Desalination and Water Reuse
Statement on Research: The research is about an innovative technology to desalinate wastewater, as part of the Direct/Indirect Potable Reuse process. This technology offers several advantages over the conventional water reuse process, such as Chloramine-free operation, lower fouling and scaling tendency and significant CAPEX/OPEX savings.
Water reuse is an important tool in the efforts to produce more fresh water sources by using every drop – at least twice!
Bio: Lior Eshed is a graduate of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology – with B.Sc. and M.Sc degrees in Environmental Engineering. He started at IDE Technologies in 2015 as a process engineer, was soon promoted to team leader and member of the R&D team and focused primarily on advanced reuse technologies. Previously Lior was an R&D manager at Emefcy (now Fluence), a startup company that develops Membrane aerated biofilm reactors and Microbial fuel cells. Currently Lior is in charge of new products development at IDE and is an inventor of various patents in the field of Water Treatment.
