Mohammed Elhashimi is a PhD candidate at Oregon State University (OSU). Since joining OSU in 2018, he’s been a part of a research team working on developing a novel solar thermal water desalination technology that can be used in treating high-salinity water. His research interests include: spray evaporation, cyclonic separation, optimization algorithms, and AI and deep learning in desalination technologies. Prior to joining OSU, he worked in the oil and gas industry on developing software design tools for the pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
